Educational Disclaimer

AllCalFinance is an educational tool. It is not financial advice.
The calculators and AI assistant on this site are designed to help you understand personal-finance concepts. They are not a substitute for personalized advice from a licensed professional.
1. Not financial advice
Information on AllCalFinance is for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute, and should not be construed as, financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or any other professional advice. Financial decisions are personal and depend on your full situation — income, debts, goals, risk tolerance, family, tax bracket, employer benefits, and many other factors that this site cannot know.
For decisions about your specific circumstances, please consult a licensed and qualified professional:
- Investment advice: a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), or fiduciary advisor.
- Tax planning or filing: a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA).
- Legal questions (estate planning, contracts): a licensed attorney.
- Mortgage or loan terms: a licensed mortgage broker or your lender directly.
2. Results are estimates
Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you provide and the assumptions built into each formula. Real-world outcomes will differ because:
- Interest rates, tax brackets, and contribution limits change. Even when our data is current, future changes will affect actual outcomes.
- Investment returns are unpredictable. We use a single deterministic rate; actual returns are volatile.
- State and local taxes, fees, PMI, HOA assessments, and many other line items vary by location and situation.
- Life happens. Job changes, market crashes, family events, and other factors affect financial outcomes in ways no calculator can predict.
3. AI assistant limitations
The AI assistant is powered by a large language model. While we have configured it for finance education and added guardrails against unsafe advice, it can still:
- Produce inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Misinterpret your question;
- Reflect outdated assumptions about tax law, rates, or markets;
- Be unable to handle very specific or unusual situations.
Always verify important information from the AI with a primary source or a licensed professional before acting on it.
4. No fiduciary relationship
Your use of AllCalFinance does not create a fiduciary relationship, an advisor-client relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and AllCalFinance. We do not know your personal financial situation and are not responsible for the outcome of any decision you make.
5. No endorsement of advertised products
AllCalFinance displays advertising via Google AdSense. Advertised products and services are not endorsements. We have no control over which specific ads Google shows. Apply the same level of scrutiny you would to any advertisement.
6. No guarantees
We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or current relevance of the information on AllCalFinance. The site is provided “as is.” See our Terms of Service for additional disclaimers and limitations of liability.
7. Tax-year and jurisdiction notes
Tax-related calculators (Take-Home Pay, 401(k), etc.) use the most recent published U.S. federal figures we have on file (currently the 2025 tax year). State and local taxes vary widely and are entered as a single effective rate. International tax rules are not modeled.
8. Past performance
Where our calculators or AI assistant reference historical investment returns (for example, the long-run U.S. stock-market average), past performance does not guarantee future results.
9. Affiliations
AllCalFinance is independent. We are not affiliated with any bank, broker, lender, insurer, or financial-services firm, and we do not accept paid placements or sponsored content.
10. Acknowledgment
By using AllCalFinance, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
